Interweave Midsummer Update

Dear Friends,

Summer is a time of hiatus. These times of hiatus are needed.

I hope you're enjoying your Summer! Whether you're breaking away for a little vacation, finding time to hit the beach or go to the pool, being with friends and the family, we know how important this time of hiatus is to restoring well-being. Even with the surges in extreme weather and extreme stress, especially with the surges in extreme weather and extreme stress, hiatus is critical.

Hiatus comes from the Latin meaning to open wide. Breaking away can do just that, open us to renewing our energy and sense of self.

Interweave is in a time of hiatus as well. Taking a pause in programming to renew our energy and reflect on our work so that we can better serve you.

Thanks to you, it has been a wonderful year. It culminated in a celebration of the gift of time at our annual benefit. We honored and thanked The Reverend Robert Morris, our founder for the gift of opening time for Interweave. We lovingly and gratefully remembered Eileen Gerety for the gift of her time with us. Finally, we honored Carrie Cabush and Chris Whitaker for bringing us into new time and possibilities at Interweave by sharing their considerable talents with us.

If you couldn’t join us, you can read more about this very special evening in the article below and experience the evening through the eyes of our wonderful summer intern Kia Womack.

Finally, we’d love to have your feedback in this time of reflection and planning. I hope you’ll take a few moments to take a brief survey at www.surveymonkey.com/r/S8MGPM2

Classes resume Tuesday, September 17. We look forward to seeing you in the Fall as time continues here at Interweave with another vibrant year of learning and support.

Gratefully yours,

Janet Aulet Maulbeck
