In Good Faith

A multi-faith exploration of religion and its deepest questions

Starting Friday, May 8
4 Fridays 11:30 – 12:15
(room opens at 11:20)
The Together we will look at just why the Bible was written, how to identify “idolatry”’in the modern world on both a macro level and at the level of our most intimate encounters. We will consider questions that have bothered many believers, such as how to reconcile a “good” God with the bad parts of the Bible. We will speak about how a good God allows evil in the world. Together, we will also consider the questions of our place in the universe and how we bring meaning to our lives. *NOTE: Reb Deb will use as her source material the book In Good Faith and its companion study guide, written by Scott Shay.
This class will be taught by Rabbi Debra Smith (Reb Deb)
Rabbi Debra Smith is the founder and spiritual leader of Or Ha Lev Jewish Renewal Congregation. Rabbi Deb serves as Rabbi in Residence at the Drew University Theological Seminary in NJ.
